Biography

Name: Gorlon - played by Dave H
Race: Human Sex: Male Home Region: Mons
Ranger, level 4
Short physical discription:
Gorlon is tall and lanky. He is still a teenager and hasn't filled out yet, though he shows potential for strength and agility. He is also pretty shy under most circumstances, especially when it comes to women. He shaves his beard every week or two, but almost never cuts his bangs, leaving them hanging over his eyes to better avoid catching too much attention. He is friendly and polite to all, but slow to trust and accept new friends. Being in the Army has been difficult for him, and he sometimes is seen as a loner by others.

Biography:
Gorlon grew up a few miles outside of a tiny town near Mons. His father, only brother and he eked out a subsistence living by cutting timber and trapping pelts for sale. Trips to town were unusual until he was 10 and his father sent him to school to learn his letters (hoping to civilize him a bit too, as he was taking to roaming the forests more than is normal for one his age.) He was both happy and nervous to join the Army, for he has dreams of a greater life than his backwoods family cabin, and he wanted to "see the world". He also fears being forced to socialize among all the other strange men, fighting strange creatures, and dying so far from home.

Name: Cuethbert (Cue) - played by Dave H
Race: Human Sex: Male Home Region: Burgy
Druid, level 4

Short physical discription:
Cue is slightly shorter than average, but otherwise not physically unusual. He has black hair, dark eyes, and tanned skin. He is quick to smile and joke. He is friendly and outgoing and usually liked by both men and women. He is known to be a good listener, and he always gives thoughful and helpful advice.

Biography:
Cue grew up as the son of a blacksmith in a farming town near Burgy. From an early age he was well-liked by all the other village children. He found he understood people well and could usually persuade them to go along with his wishes. He and his gang of friends were mischievious pranksters at times. By the age of 15 he already had a solid group of friends and a girlfriend that he believed would one day be his wife.
As for smithing, he didn't have his brothers' strength, but he found he had a great understanding and empathy for the animals. He learned to ride horses and loved them. He also befriended stray dogs and cats and took care of and healed injured rabbits, squirrels and birds. His father apprenticed him out to the local horse breeder, but he also spent alternate afternoons learning from the local healer/herbalist. He was looked up to as a young man of some promise.
All that changed when the Duke's men came by looking for Army recruits. One young squire's horse was going lame from a badly shoed hoof, and Cue tended the horse overnight and had it ready to go the next day, with instructions on how to treat it. The knight was so impressed he conscripted Cue on the spot and set him to watching over the group's horses. At the end of the weeklong route, he was sent into the army, but with a recommendation that he be supply-stationed, taking care of horses and other war animals. Cue would like nothing more than to have been sick himself that fateful day and never met the recruiters. His ambition is to survive the army and return to Burgy to continue his life there.

Name: Darius Felcher - played by Dave Mc
Race: Human Sex: Male
Home Region: Vivic
Levels - Rogue Level 3

Short physical description
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 125lbs

Darius has slate blue eyes, dark brown hair and a tanned complexion. He generally goes unnoticed unless you are really paying attention or he wants to be seen. For the most part he keeps a positive attitude even when faced with adversity which endears him to most.

Biography
Darius was orphaned at an early age after a disease swept through his village outside of Vivic. One of the surviving families took in him and another orphan out of compassion. His adoptive father was a leatherworker and was very adept at making saddles and gear. Growing up he and his adopted family did not have much so they relied on poaching in the local forest when necessary. Darius became very adept with a bow and tracking animals. When food and money was still scarce, Darius often found himself in the larger towns "liberating" what was needed for his family to survive.

One day while visiting Vivic to sell some of his father's work at the market, Darius spied a heavy purse on a man shopping the stall next to his. This tempting prize took a lot will power to ignore, but he manged to keep his mind calm. As he was leaving for the day, Darius spied the same man walking down a crowded street. All signs pointed to an easy lift, but such was not the case. As he cut the purse strings, two other men grabbed him from behind and bound him. It was a trap! He was thrown in a cell where he received no food or water for two days. On the morning of the third day, a jail keeper came in with a large man with deep scars on his face or neck. The scarred man gave Darius the option of swinging from the gallows or joining his company for a southward journey to pay his penance. Of course, he chose the latter.

Though watched heavily at first when they traveled, Darius' demeanor quickly won over his guards and soon after the command staff. They allowed him to send word to his family as to what had become of him. He was appointed lead hunter and tasked with helping to feed the men - at which he excelled. Darius still thinks of his family and often sends word to them, but has not heard from them since the day before he was arrested.

Name: Sharāzar (Rāzar) - played by Dave Mc
Race: Human Sex: Male
Home Region: Wallencourt
Levels: Monk Level 3

Short physical description
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 155lbs

Sharāzar is well-toned, but not a mass of muscle. He has hazel eyes and very short sandy-blond hair. Though not very tan, he will do so in the sun rather than burn. He is known to be quiet, contemplative and very reserved, but lately he has been known to lead conversations and interact deeply with others.

Biography
Sharāzar grew up in a very remote town in the plains outside of Wallencourt. As a child he was called Shar which meant "quiet one." His mother was the cook for the small church in their town. The town was too small for an actual cleric so it was headed by an older monk. This monk was whispered to be well over a hundred years in age, but no one dared ask. Though not deeply spiritual in the religious sense, he still emulated the goodness and deeds of Guy and sought to teach and instill these ways in others. Shar spent most of his time helping his mother and doing odd chores around the church and learned to play the mandolin. One day Shar came upon the old monk meditating in the garden. He knew he should leave the monk alone, but instead Shar stood and stared at him. He stayed there for over an hour watching the old man. When Shar realized how long he had been staring, he began to leave. The strong voice of the monk came swiftly on the light breeze to his ears. The voice said, "patience is the first step to enlightenment." When Shar turned back, he found himself staring straight at the monk who had swiftly and quietly moved behind him. He looked up at the monk and became so transfixed by his eyes that he could no more move his feet as he could move a mountain. This went on for several seconds until the monk smiled. Shar let out a huge gasp of air as he had unknowingly been holding his breath. The monk looked him over one last time and said, "though your destiny does not lie here, your journey begins here." With that the monk left Shar shaken and afraid in the garden.

Shar continued to work around the church, but as he grew older the monk, who seemed to not age, began to tutor and train him in different aspects of the church, as well as the arts of the monk. When Shar turned 16, he began to train almost full time as a monk. He wanted to make his master proud. A few weeks shy of his 18th birthday, Shar was awakened by the clanging of the alarm bell. He quickly rose and went outside. To much his agony and anger, he saw the church burning and a large group of dark men looting house and killing as they went. Out front of the church, though, he saw his master quickly and expertly dispatching any that came within reach. Shar watched as arrows were fired in the monk's direction, but none seemed to even come close to hitting their mark. All of a sudden, the world exploded and all he could see was red. Over the ringing in his ears, Shar heard his mother yelling and screaming. Then, the world went dark.

When Shar finally awoke, the sun had begun to rise. He found that if he did not move too quickly to world did not spin and the pain was bearable. The church had burned and the roof had collapsed. Out front, in the middle of numerous bodies clad in dark clothing he spied the white robe of his master. As quickly as the pain would allow, Shar made his way over to his fallen friend. In death, the monk looked as old as the whispers said he was. He bid friend a safe journey to Guy's arms and began to look for his mother. There were very few people moving around - most of them grievously injured. He searched his home and among the bodies, but he could not find her. One of the guards who had not been slain told him that the dark men took several people during the fight and that his mother may have been one of those captured. He had lost his mother and his master in the same night. At that point he vowed to find those responsible for this attack and, Guy willing, find his mother.

After helping the remaining townsfolk gather the dead for the funeral pyres, Shar packed all of his meager possessions in a small bag. He stopped by the church and found that the font of holy water had not been ravaged by the fire. He dipped his fingers and made the sign of Guy to help his master on his final voyage. That act seemed to remove all of his aches and weariness. It also gave him some insight into the path of the marauders who had attacked his town. As he traveled south pursuing his quarry, he met up with a band of soldiers on their way south. With the knowledge of his mother's craft, he joined them as a cook. He began to go by Rāzar which meant swift blade. Shar had died the night of the attack, and Rāzar had been born.
